The Library and Information Centre of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Slovak University of Technology (SUT) in Bratislava represents the theoretical foundation for the education and research of the faculty's academic staff, researchers, and students.
As a university library, it fulfils all the necessary functions, focusing on developing book and journal collections and providing scientific information to support educational and research activities.
Following its successful reconstruction and modernisation of technical and computer equipment in 2003 , the library became one of the most modern academic libraries in Slovakia.
The new premises were officially opened on 22 September 2003, with representatives from the university management, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Slovak National Library in attendance.
The library acquires, processes and provides access to documents in the field of civil engineering, ensuring access to international professional databases and electronic information resources including Web of Science, Scopus, SpringerLink, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Knovel Library and others.
