On Thursday, May 15, 2025, the international round of Student Scientific and Professional Activities (ŠVOČ) was held at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Brno University of Technology. Students from our faculty won three first places, two third places and the Student Award.
A total of 78 competitors participated in the International Round of Student Scientific and Professional Activities, there were 17 competitive works from the Slovak University of Technology. The competition was held in 11 sections. Students from our faculty were successful in the following sections:
- 1st place in the section Economics, Construction Management and Construction Technology: Dominik Olexík for the work Use of AI in Determining Construction Time
- 1st place in the Geodesy and Cartography section: Dávid Roman with the work Gravitational effect of a rectangular prism
- 1st place in the Water Structures and Water Management section: Ema Pavlíková with the work Water content in snow cover and its importance for the prediction of wet avalanches
Ema Pavlíková also received the Student Award.
- 3rd place in the Water Structures and Water Management section: et Bc. Samuel Klimík, who presented the work Grey Water in the Context of Climate Change as a Tool for Adaptation and Prevention of Water Scarcity
- 3rd place in the Materials Engineering section: Adrián Juriček for the work Geopolymer composites based on aluminosilicates with excellent immobilization properties
