Our graduates profile
Concrete is the most widely used material in load bearing structures, and concrete structures constitute the major part of all building structures. Therefore, Civil Engineering graduates should not have only knowledge of static and dynamic analysis, planning, designing and constructing of structures, but also a broad knowledge about the physical and mechanical properties of concrete as well as about its manufacturing. These findings are important for the civil engineering graduate, so he can obtain a comprehensive overview of designing of load bearing concrete structures, including also modern construction materials, such as high-quality cement composites, composite and hybrid structures. Considering the degree of the build-up area of industrial countries, the importance of knowledge about the reconstruction of buildings, bridges and other civil engineering structures is rising. Our graduates are prepared to stand the ground also at this task. Part of a civil engineering graduate profile is also the awareness and knowledge about the design of masonry structures.
