Department of Land and Water Resources Management

 The Department of Land and Water Re­sources Management offers courses in hydro­logy, hydropedology, hydrometeorology, irri­gation and drainage, river channel engineer­ing and restoration of rivers, soil erosion and land protection, ponds and small dams, GIS and CAD applications in water resources, and water resources management.

Research priorities include the study of the effects of man-made changes in river beds on the hydrological regime of rivers, ecologically sound river conservation methods for the pro­tection of biological processes in rivers, guide­lines for restoring rivers, design and recon­struction methods for small reservoirs, com­putation of design discharges in small moun­tain basins, application of GIS technologies for land protection and sediment yield com­putation, and climate change impact studies.
