The Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Slovak University of Technology has once again achieved a successful ranking in the INSPIRELI World Architecture University Ranking. It not only defended its position from last year, but also moved up. In the overall university ranking, it is in 7th place, which represents a two-place move up compared to the previous ranking.
"I am pleased with the success of our colleagues from the Department of Architecture. It is further confirmation of the validity of teaching architecture at our faculty and the correct direction of our school of architecture. I congratulate my colleagues and students from the Department of Architecture on their placement and wish them much creativity and many more successes," said the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Stanislav Unčík.
The measure of quality in the INSPIRELI World Architecture University Ranking is the activity of students and their international success in a global comparison. The Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Slovak University of Technology currently ranks 7th out of 1,362 institutions evaluated. In the previous period, it ranked 9th out of 1,320. This growth is also evidence of the constant efforts to improve the quality of teaching and the efforts of our students to achieve excellent results.
The head of the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak University of Technology, Dr. Filip Bránický, also emphasizes international cooperation: "We are pleased that our faculty has been ranked among the top 100 schools in the world in the prestigious INSPIRELI World Architecture University Ranking. This award is the result of the long-term commitment of our teachers, the creativity and talent of our students, and the improvement of the quality of international cooperation. At the Department of Architecture at SvF STU in Bratislava, we perceive this success not only as recognition of our work so far, but also as a commitment to continue supporting the creative environment, especially in the management of studio works and final theses."
INSPIRELI, as the largest student architectural competition in the world, ensures fair evaluation based on two principles. The basis is free participation of students in the competition and the opportunity to send any school project on any topic to the competition. The works are evaluated by an international jury, which currently has more than 1200 members, and the evaluation is carried out through a unique three-stage voting system, which eliminates any distortion in the results.
