The theme of the XX. edition of the Saint-Gobain Architecture Student Contest 2025 was set in the French region of Nord-Isére, known for its rural charm, industrial heritage and innovative spirit.
The task of this year's international student competition was to design a residential area in Villefontaine on an adjacent plot of land near the Grands Ateliers and to design the renovation of an old school building in the village of Chimilin into a multi-purpose building for local associations and organizations.
The national round was attended by students in study fields focusing on architecture and civil engineering at colleges and universities in the Slovak Republic. The international round, to which the winning design from the national competition advances, will be held on 16 - 18 June 2025 in Lyon. 13 designs were submitted to the national round.
In accordance with the competition conditions, three proposals were awarded the first, second and third prizes. According to the competition statute, the winning design advances to the international round and will represent the Slovak Republic at the international round in France.
