Research focus
- Research into the use of FRP materials covers the design of new concrete structures and the strengthening of existing concrete structures.
- In the case of new structures, the research focuses on the properties of GFRP reinforcement (the effect of the surface treatment of GFRP reinforcement on the bond with concrete and the long-term properties of GFRP reinforcement in alkaline environments) and its use in concrete elements with verification of the ultimate limit states (bending, shear, compression) and the serviceability limit state, in particular the formation and development of cracks and deflection of structural elements.
